30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 15!

Today is day 15 and I'm still feeling kinda crappy.  I hate it, I gotta tell ya.  It's not my favorite thing to be unable to get up and do like I want to do.  I felt okay with it yesterday, but today it's just getting old!

It reminds me how much energy it takes to do what I do everyday and how sometimes I take my health for granted.  I just expect that I'll be able to do the things I need to do when I want to do them.  It brings up that feeling of struggle and how I have to let go of the things that aren't important and just do what I can.  I don't really like that feeling.

I know that struggle is important though, and I know it helps us to learn and grow.  In today's video, I share some of my struggles and how they helped me become a happier, healthier, all around better person!

Thanks for watching!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 14!

Hello!!!  I'm back!!  I missed you!

So today I talk about some things that are very personal to me... letting myself off the hook and taking care of myself.  This is a lesson I've had over and again and finally, I think I'm getting it!

Before when I was sick, I always pushed through it, ignored it, kept going until I literally couldn't.  Now when I get sick, I let myself off the hook.  I let go of things that aren't very important.  I let go of feeling guilty for sleeping and laying around.  I let go of worrying about things not getting done!

I am a better, stronger me.  I know that I can heal faster if I give myself proper care.  So I took the time I needed and now I'm almost better!  :)

Enjoy day 14 of my video challenge!

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 12!

Hi Everyone!  Today I got to visit with my sister Sharon.  It was totally spontaneous and so much fun to catch up!  Back when we used to live across the country from each other we used to dream about doing just what we did today...hang out together, catch up on our lives, let our babies play together, and just be together whenever we wanted.  It all started with some conversations about what we wanted and the seeds were planted...

Remember that when you're thinking about what you want, talking about what you want...when you do this you are beginning the creation process!

Enjoy Day 12!  Thanks for watching!!!

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 11!

Hooray!  It's day 11!  I'm in my second trimester!  Lol!  Tuesdays are always busy for me and today Brad was sick so it was a little extra busy.  I started to bug myself with thoughts like, you gotta get your video done, when are you gonna get it done, you should've tried harder to get it done earlier, the clock is ticking...and then I became conscious of the fact that hounding myself all day about getting my video done was taking all the fun out of doing my video!!  :(

So I let that go and went on with my day.  After the girls were in bed, I put on a show I had on dvr, poured a glass of wine, got all set up, and viola!  Easy peasy fun video about one of my favorite things to do and one of the best ways to be happy...keeping a gratitude journal!

Enjoy Video 11!  Thanks for watching!

Love to You!

Day 10 of my 30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge!

I love days like today.  We spent a good part of the day outside having fun as a family.  We laughed together.  We listened to each other.  We saw some new things.  We fooled around.  It was just about perfect!

It reminds me of a special teacher that came my way about 6 months ago.  I was feeling a little anxious after following some new business people online who have a very aggressive, work your butt off, work hard all day long, don't stop mentally.  I had been wanting to start getting my business head going again and almost as soon as I dipped my toe in, I jumped back out.  I had worked so hard on changing that workaholic/perfectionist part of myself so I was immediately triggered by this perspective.  I didn't want to start thinking that if I was going to be successful in business I was going to have to be working super hard all the time non-stop and wouldn't be able to take time for fun, laughing, playing, and just being anymore.

I stopped following those people and looked for people more like me.  The me that takes time to love my life.  The me that wants to enjoy my kids everyday and let go of things that don't matter.  I was so grateful to find Rachel Macy Stafford, the Hands Free Mama!!  She is an amazing writer with such a beautiful way of expressing herself.  I instantly connected to her message!  Let go of daily distraction and enjoy what truly matters in life!  Perfect!  I feel like she was just the teacher I needed to help me stay connected to my own message of being your best self and creating a life you love!

Please check her out at www.handsfreemama.com and on www.facebook/TheHandsFreeRevolution.

Enjoy Video 10, it's a shortie!

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 7!

It's day 7 of the challenge and today, I thought I'd be extra real!  One of the biggest challenges of this challenge is doing my hair and make up everyday!  Lol!  ;)  It's not that I don't want to, it's just that sometimes throwing on a hat is a lot quicker and it frees up some time and space for me to do other more important things!  And it just so happens that today, I'm talking about creating space in your life.

This is a topic I could go on and on about, just like letting your life be easier!  There are so many ways that you could create space in your life for more important things and more of what you want.  Please enjoy video #7 of my 30 Day Challenge!

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 5!

Woohoo!  It's day 5!!  How are you today?  I had a pretty busy day!  It started with waking up my daughter a little late for school, realizing the Valentine's Day box was due TODAY, NOT TOMORROW, and after some deep breathing, conscious thinking, and a little bit of scrambling, everything got done!  Whew!  I had planned on talking about making space for new things in your life but instead decided that I really wanted to talk about something that's near and dear to my everyday life.

Please enjoy my latest video about Letting It Be Easy!!!  :)  And don't be scared by the look on my face...I don't know why You Tube won't let me change the front pic!!!!!  Lol!

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 4!!

Welcome to Day 4, or Chapter 4, as Allison would say!  I hope you're having a great day and if you're not, this video may be able to help you!!  :)

Today I'm talking about your inner voice.  You know that voice you hear when you're going through your day that kind of takes everything in and either consciously or unconsciously starts making judgments and decisions about you, your life, and your life circumstances?  Ya, that one.

What do you say about yourself to yourself?  What do you say about your life?  About life in general?  Are you aware of that voice?  Are you kind to yourself?

I believe that one of the most powerful strategies in achieving your dreams and goals is learning to become conscious of your own inner voice.  If you learn to use that voice for the greater good, amazing things will happen!  When you tell yourself good things about yourself and your life, you feel empowered, connected to your truth, the higher part of you.  When you put yourself down and tell yourself life is hopeless, you feel hopeless and your life circumstances will reflect that.

Enjoy this video about becoming conscious of your inner voice and let me know what you think!!

I seriously love all these stills of my facial expressions, don't you???  Sooooo flattering!!!  LOL!!  :)

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge Day 3!!

Happy Happy Monday Morning!!!!  How are you today?  I woke up feeling pretty pumped up again!  Especially for a Monday!  :)

When I was getting ready for my day 3 video, my girls wanted to be a part of the fun so today's video is extra special!  They're pretty funny I have to say and when I was recording I was trying so hard to stay focused on what I was saying because well, you'll see!!  I hope you enjoy watching this third day about a book that changed my life called, The Secret.

Love to You!

BE. Inspired 30 Day Video Challenge Day 2!!

Good Morning Everyone!  I hope you're having a beautiful, peaceful Sunday so far!

It's day 2 of my 30 Day Video Challenge and I am soooo excited!!!

Something in me has been awakened.  I'm not even kidding you.  I know it's only been 2 days but seriously, I am on fire!!!  I have this excitement inside that's just bursting to come out!  I feel the connection!  I feel the alignment!  It's pretty amazing!

I've heard from many friends and family, made new friends, and connected with old friends... all in just one day!  From home.  On my computer.  On my smartphone.  In front of my camera.  Wowie!!!!

I am so grateful!!  There's incredible power in this connection and I plan to honor it!

Today's video is me setting my intention.  I wanted to think about my purpose, my goals, my "why".  Why am I doing this?  What do I hope to accomplish?  I believe it's really important when you take on a challenge to know your why's.  (why's - apostrophe or not?  anyone know?)  :)

When you set out to do something new, many things can come up that may make it difficult to achieve your goal.  Remembering why you're doing something helps you refocus and kick those obstacles out of the way! Keep your eyes on the prize baby!  Keep moving forward!  Don't let the voice inside your head make those obstacles seem bigger than they really are!  Just keep taking steps!

I will be reminding myself of these things when I need to!  I already had to do that when making this 2nd video...yes, ALREADY!!!  Hahaha!  I made it last night and could not find a good place for lighting.  I didn't want to look like I had two black eyes or that I was a zombie, and it was taking a lot longer to find the right spot than I anticipated.  It was getting later and later, but I didn't want to give up!

Who gives up on day 2????  Not me!!!  :)

So here it is!  Thanks for watching!  And please, please share your comments, dreams, and challenges with me!  I really love to hear from everyone and I'd love to help you!!

Love to You!

30 Day BE. Inspired Video Challenge!!!

Happy Saturday! How are you?

So maybe you remember or maybe you don't, but I did my first video blog back in July.  I threw it in at the end of a post (maybe I hid it a little?) and I never made another one again.  I always had reasons of course.

I wanted to wait til I got a haircut, then I wanted to wait for my hair to grow out, then I wanted to wait until Allison started school, then I wanted to wait until we were used to Allison being in school...you get the picture!  I was putting it off!  I kept waiting for the perfect moment.

I have to say, my life was pretty full.  I am busy.  Those were reasons...but the main (real) reason was I was nervous about putting myself out there and really getting in front of other people.  It's funny to me because I'm a teacher (always in front of other people), a consultant (again, in front of people), and a coach (kind of in front of people, but not always!).  But this is different.

Just like when I put a post out there.  Unless people comment or send me an email, I have no idea how they're relating to the content.  It's hard for me to tell if people are connecting to the messages without the feedback.  That can be scary at times!  But this is what I had to remember about my writing and now about this video challenge, it doesn't matter!

I have to do this for me!  I have to do this because it is in me, SCREAMING to be born!!!!  I'm ready!

I am being my best me when I am rising to these challenges and just DOING IT ALREADY!!!!!!

So why now?

Well, lots of awesome things have happened recently.  I'll be telling you more about them in upcoming videos!  Momentum has been building and there is no doubt in my mind the time is now!  I love writing and want to continue to learn and grow as a writer.  But I am a talker, a speaker, a teacher.  I am talking about this kind of stuff all the time with my friends, family, clients, and self!  :)  I am passionate about helping people take steps and making their dreams come true and this is the quickest and easiest way to make a more personal connection with people.  A video will take me about a half hour (hopefully shorter as I get better!) to make, upload, add a couple edits, and share!  A blog post can take hours depending on the post.

Like I said, it's been on my mind for a long time, but recently I came across two ladies through social media that have inspired me to get going now!  I truly believe this is God's way (Spirit, The Universe) of putting the right people at the right time in front of my face so I can get going on what needs to be done!!

First, I found a lady named Colin DeBre' on Pinterest.  She's also on facebook and twitter.  She helps people build their home based businesses and has some great messages to share.  She is currently about halfway through her own 30 day video challenge.  She's so authentic and personable.  I sent her a quick message and she wrote back, encouraging me and telling me to let her know when I post!  Eeek!!  So now I'm commited!!!!  Hahaha!  So I want to give her props for giving me that extra inspiration/motivation to get going on this!  Thanks so much Colin!  :)

The second, is a lady named Kiana Hanna, a fitness coach on facebook.  I like that she is committed to her own health and fitness and that she connects with her followers through encouraging posts about the reality of making things happen in your life.  She's a mom of two and you can see her kids in her videos.  I like that.  When you're a mom, you don't always get to go to the gym, by yourself, and spend three hours working out and sitting in the hot tub...though it's awesome when you can make that happen!  :)  She's real and that's cool!  Thanks Kiana Hanna!

Okay, so here it is, DAY ONE, in all it's perfectly imperfect glory!!!!  I hope this gets you thinking about what kind of 30 day challenge you want to get started on yourself!!!   :)

Love to You!

A Matter of Perspective

When I was a consultant I came across this story and instantly fell in love.
It has such a powerful message!
I used to read it to my groups and I always got choked up.  :)

I wanted to share it with you, too!

Please enjoy The Frog Story and let me know what you think!

The Frog Story

A group of frogs were hopping contentedly through the woods,
going about their froggy business,
when two of them fell into a deep pit.

All of the other frogs gathered around the pit
to see what could be done to help their companions.

When they saw how deep the pit was,
they agreed that it was hopeless
and told the two frogs in the pit
that they should prepare themselves for their fate,
because they were as good as dead.

Unwilling to accept this terrible fate,
the two frogs began to jump with all of their might!

Some of the frogs shouted into the pit that it was hopeless,
and that the two frogs wouldn't be in that situation
if they had been more careful,
more obedient to the froggy rules, and more responsible.

The other frogs continued sorrowfully shouting
that they should save their energy and give up,
since they were already as good as dead!

poor frogs!

The two frogs continued jumping with all their might,
and after several hours of this, were quite weary.

Finally, one of the frogs
took heed to the calls of his fellow frogs.

Exhausted, he quietly resolved himself to his fate,
lay down at the bottom of the pit, and died.

The other frog continued to jump
as hard as he could,
although his body was wracked with pain
and he was quite exhausted.

Once again, his companions
began yelling for him to accept his fate,
stop the pain, and just die.

The weary frog jumped harder and harder and,
wonder of wonders, finally leaped so high
that he sprang from the pit!

Amazed, the other frogs celebrated his freedom
and then gathering around him asked,
"Why did you continue jumping
when we told you it was impossible?"

The astonished frog explained to them
that he was deaf,
and as he saw their gestures and shouting,
he thought they were cheering him on!!!!!

What he had perceived as encouragement
inspired him to try harder and to succeed
against all odds!!

This simple story contains a powerful lesson.

Your encouraging words can lift someone up
and help them make it through the day.

Your destructive words can cause deep wounds;
they may be the weapons that destroy
someone's desire to continue trying

Be the light!  Be conscious of your words.

Speak kindness to others AND to yourself!!

Love to You!

Slow Down Sunday!

Good Morning!
I hope you're having a wonderful day so far, and if you're not, that's about to change!  :)

Stop for just a moment and clear yourself.
Step out and away from your surroundings, the noises, the stuff out there and into yourself.

Close your eyes and breathe.
Take three...slow...inhales...and....exhales.
Feel that heart beating in your chest!
Feel that breath flowing automatically through your body!
You don't even have to think about it!  It just happens!  (WOW!)
Feel your aliveness!!!!!

Now look around and notice.  I mean REALLY NOTICE!

What do you see?  What kinds of beautiful things are all around you?  Everywhere?!!!

Every book, every magazine, every word...created by someone (many someones!)

Every table, every glass, every color, every thing...created!

Look at the sky!  What does it look like?  Focus on how unlimited and fully infinite the sky actually is!

Everything around you was first an idea in someone's mind.  Isn't that incredible?

Listen to the sounds.  What do you hear?  What are the melodies of your home?
Your family?  Your yard?

Your life?

Today is a great day to

Focus on the good, the beautiful, the magical mysteries!

Let yourself be kind, and creative, and spontaneous!
Feel your heart open to all the fantastic opportunities
and soon you will feel like your life
really is everything you could have ever hoped
and dreamed it could be!!!!

Love to You!
